Elizabeth's imagination is going at full tilt. She loves pretend games like being a puppy for the day, talking to her invisible friends, and so on. She uses it a lot at bedtime. The other night she came out of her room and told me that her room stunk. "It stinks Mom. There is a skunk." I said, "Really? Your room stinks? Are you sure you didn't just toot? " Elizabeth: "No, there's a skunk. He's following me." Finally I got her to talk to the skunk, tell it to stop following her and say good night. After that she went to bed and went to sleep.
Then the past couple of nights, I've had to help search for all the monsters in her room. The fan is a monster. There's one in the closet, behind the door, and under the rocking chair. Ahhh, imagination!
Elizabeth also had a milestone the other day. She got her first library card and checked out a couple of books. She was so proud!
Charlotte has been teething and chewing on everything. Elizabeth gave her one of her toothbrushes to chew on. Charlotte loved it. But then of course, Elizabeth wanted to chew on one too. I guess it's never to early to start good dental hygiene habits! ;)
